CHOOSE PLASTIC OR PLANET

No one knows how much unrecycled plastic waste ends up in the ocean.The University of Georgia came up with an estimation of 5,3 to 14 million tonnes of plastic entering the ocean each year.

Plastic is carelessly dumped on land and in rivers ,the washed into the sea.Research has shown that it takes 450 years and more for plastic to biodegrade into constituent molecules.

Meanwhile, plastic is estimated to kill millions of marine species from zooplankton to whales every year .All these species eat plastic every day.

Its high time everyone choose the planet over plastic by wisely disposing it off and recycling .Responsible authorities like the city councils and environmental agencies should educate the masses on how to keep the environment free of plastic before the oceans turns into a thin soup of plastic.
