All the first Fridays of
every month are now a National Clean-Up Day in Zimbabwe. A move which
has seen Zimbabwe being commended by Rwanda ,one of the leading African country
in clean up campaigns.
The clean-up campaign was
declared on the 5th of December in 2018 by President Emerson Mnangagwa,
which is one the most important virtue done by the president to adapt cleanliness.
This move has received a positive response from responsible citizens who are
seriously embarking on cleaning their environments.
Rwanda’s capital city,Kigali, is ranked one of the cleanest cities in Africa because Rwandans have
embraced the cleaning culture and are enjoying the benefits of a clean nation.
So Zimbabwe has a strong lesson to learn and tough commitment to fulfill by
working collectively as citizens to keep the environment free of litter in
order to earn Zimbabwe a better ranking in the list of modern cities
