Big Healthy and Fabulous

Who says going to the gym is for people who want to lose weight and have model bodies. Going to the gym is more than that. It is about being fit, maintaining the current weight and having fun with other people.

For Lubalethu Ndlovu a National University of Science and Technology Nust student it has been her way of living a healthy life, alongside eating healthy foods with less oil and sugar and drinking lots of water however still embracing her big body.

"I love my big body and l would not trade it for anything in this world and l have showed my love for myself by entering Miss Bodilicious last year."

Living a healthy healthy involves accepting who you are and your body. Many women are coming out of hiding challenging the patriachal society which has seen gyms and exercising as only meant for men. They are taking charge of their lives and their health going to gyms to boost their self esteem among other women, looking fabulous without changing themselves.

We have gyms in Bulawayo which include Body Works gym, Baberton gym and others which have allowed women to workout and do aerobics so that they can be healthy.

"I go to Baberton gym every morning from 6 to 8:30 during the week, l have not lost much weight but my body has been shaped nicely n l feel good about myself and most importantly l am healthy."


To be healthy and fabulous you do not need to be a size 26 just exercise, eat healthy food and love yourself the way you are.
